SUMMARY

The professional activity of the Armed Forces personnel is characterized by the necessity of immediate response to rapidly changing, complex, and unpredictable situations posing a great danger to the serviceman’s and his comrades’-in-arms health and lives. Performing daily duty and combat tasks in the challenging environment associated with carrying weapons is dictated by the negative external factors such as sleep deprivation, adverse weather conditions, daily field challenges, and other hardships of military service. In critical situations, when even a minor flaw can lead to grave, and in some cases, fatal consequences, the character of decisions made is crucial, requiring the decision maker to be in good physical shape, with correct posture being one of the indicators of it.

In order to form a military community endowed with clear judgment and the ability to critically assess situations, it is of key necessity that a sufficiently high level of readiness for every member of the Armed Forces of any state be guaranteed. Hence, the system of combat training, including physical training, must be constantly modernized in line with the challenges of the time. Moreover, proper military posture has a special place and role, not only as a prerequisite for health, but also an indicator of strength, mental capacity, endurance, speed, high morale, and training.
