SUMMARY

The study of the modern period of Armenian history allows us to draw the conclusion that the military component plays an important role in the life of our society. Historically, in the periods preceding and following clashes, the moral and psychological state of both troops and the people was influenced through appropriately structured information. Such an impact could have both a negative (defeatist, demoralizing) influence, and vice versa – positive (targeted at unity, gaining new strength, forming high national consciousness).

At the present stage of preparation for war and warfighting the role of the language component, by virtue of the development of information technology, has increased to such an extent that a new branch of science – military psycholinguistics has even formed, and the word has acquired
a security connotation. Owing to linguistic research, it seems appropriate to pay special attention to the military terminology. Though the violation of the purity of language can be a security challenge in any sphere, but in the military sphere the Armenian language can become both a weapon and a target at this point in history.
